A teacher in Värmland, Sweden, has received a warning from the Teachers' Responsibility Board for sending a picture of his genitals to a girl he believed was 15 years old. The girl, whom the teacher chatted with in 2024, turned out to be a younger student at the school who pretended to be 15. The teacher sent chats with sexual content and inappropriate pictures of himself to the child.
The School Inspectorate assessed that the teacher, through contact with the 15-year-old, acted boundarylessly and unprofessionally and showed signs of poor judgment. The man, who no longer works at the Värmland school where the incident occurred, has himself admitted the inappropriateness of his actions but also pointed to his good references and trust from a new employer.
