Taylor Momsen shared on Tuesday that she was going to the hospital but the show must go on, planning to perform in Mexico City the next day. Twelve hours later, Taylor Momsen confirmed she had spent the night under doctor's supervision. She thanked doctors in an Instagram story, posting snaps with an ice pack on her head and her still inflamed leg. It remains unclear what specific medical treatment she received beyond the initial shot and hospital visit, or whether she performed the show in Mexico City as planned.

The spider bite occurred almost two years after she was bitten by a bat on the leg while on stage with her band, The Pretty Reckless. On stage in Spain, Taylor Momsen announced there was a flying bat on her leg and asked for help, joking she must really be a witch. Taylor Momsen wrote on Instagram after the bat incident that she did not realize she was bitten until the crowd pointed it out, and she received rabies shots for two weeks.
