Nordström criticized the dish for having too much technique and lacking heart, but Halldén disagreed, stating it was his way of cooking. Despite the mistake, Halldén narrowly avoided elimination, according to reports, and another contestant, Frida Jonsson, was sent home instead. Halldén is from Kall, Sweden, and is among twelve amateur cooks competing in the season, which was filmed earlier.
