Train traffic between Uppsala and Stockholm has been completely halted since Thursday morning following an incident between Häggvik and Rotebro, according to multiple reports. The stoppage, which began around 9:30 AM on March 5, 2026, has left commuters stranded with no estimated time for service restoration. Stockholm Public Transport (SL) confirmed the disruption, stating that train traffic north of Stockholm is currently at a standstill.
The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) attributed the stoppage to an unspecified incident along the route. Both SL and Trafikverket have indicated there is no prognosis for when normal service might resume, leaving thousands of daily commuters seeking alternative transportation options during the morning rush hour.
