Cheyenne Oestreich, from Åled near Halmstad, Sweden, injured her cruciate ligament during a soccer training session two years ago. She was on sick leave for a year, during which she felt very lonely and struggled emotionally. To cope, she began sharing her illness journey on social media, which has now gained nearly 6,000 followers who find support in her posts.
She says many people have contacted her, testifying to the support they feel from her open-hearted storytelling.
