In a DN/Ipsos survey conducted before the announcement of an agreement between the Sweden Democrats and the Moderates, Magdalena Andersson of the Social Democrats received the best numbers with 36 percent, the same level as before the 2022 election but a drop of six percentage points since the last measurement. Ulf Kristersson of the Moderates continues to lose support, with 16 percent now saying they prefer him as prime minister, compared to 22 percent in the previous measurement in November. Jimmie Åkesson's support is increasing, with 15 percent now saying they prefer him as prime minister, compared to 13 in the fall and 12 in June 2022. It remains unclear how the agreement between SD and M, where SD is promised ministerial posts in exchange for pointing out Kristersson as their prime ministerial candidate, will affect future polling numbers for Ulf Kristersson and Jimmie Åkesson.
In local politics, entrepreneur and influencer Katrin Zytomierska is entering local politics in Stockholm as number seven on the list for the newly started party Architecture Uprising in the upcoming municipal election. She has no plans to engage fully in politics at the moment. Separately, the Christian Democrats in Region Västernorrland missed ranking their candidates for the regional council, making their list open so anyone can propose themselves as a candidate. To enter the regional council, at least five percent of the votes are required.

LO is also critical and does not think the government is doing enough against unemployment. What concrete measures the government plans to address these criticisms regarding unemployment and housing remains unclear.
