The Nyköping curling club was founded in 1989 and is currently the only active club in Sörmland.

In Katrineholm, there is a curling section within the bandy club KVBS and equipment in the new ice arena, but no active participants at present. In Nyköping, there are about 30 active members, with almost all playing in teams and participating in league play. Recently, many people have also contacted the club to show interest in starting curling.
