SVT Gävleborg won the Guldbocken award for Investigation of the Year for the mini-documentary Blindbocken, with journalists Rikard Berglin, Stefan Larsson, Gustaf Wallinder, and Malin Zetterberg Lagerqvist credited as winners, according to award announcements. SVT Gävleborg's reporter Madlyn Alabdullah won the Guldbocken award for Voice of the Year, award organizers reported. Catrin Brolin and Karin Bylund at Hudiksvalls tidning won the Guldbocken award in the category Innovator of the Year, as per award sources.

Regional journalism prizes also highlighted local reporting excellence. The Västmanlands journalistpris was awarded for the first time in three categories: Årets granskning, Årets förnyare, and Årets röst. Caroline Slotte and Maja Tengnér from SVT Nyheter Västmanland won in the category Årets granskning for De bältade barnen, an investigation that revealed child psychiatry in Västerås used belts on children significantly more than in other places, award officials stated.

Svante Larsson from VLT won in the category Årets förnyare. Marie Selling and Karl Beijbom from Magazin 24 won in the category Årets röst. Student and diversity recognition in investigative journalism was underscored by the Studentspaden 2025 award from Grävande Journalister, won by Kristoffer Kold Erlandsen, Fabian Ahlbom, and Calle Resare for the reportage Bakom den gröna fasaden, according to the organization.

Erlandsen is the first deaf journalist to be nominated and win a prize at Grävseminariet, Grävande Journalister noted. Newspaper of the Year awards honored media leadership and coverage, with Corren winning the Helhetspriset at the Årets dagstidning awards, award sources said. Mikael Delin, DN's investigation editor, was named Media Leader of the Year at the awards, according to award announcements.

Nerikes Allehanda was named Newsroom of the Year for their coverage of the mass shooting at Risbergska in February 2025, award organizers reported. Svenska Dagbladet won two awards: Audio Journalism of the Year for the podcast Mannen med revolvern and Reader Deal of the Year for digital growth, as per award sources. Visual journalism excellence was recognized in photography awards, with Aftonbladet winning four first prizes in the Årets bild awards, award officials stated.

Aftonbladet also won the Picture Journalism of the Year award for the reportage Annika ville dö, according to award announcements. Golden Spade awards for investigative reporting across media formats included Göteborgs-Posten's reporters Michael Verdicchio and Anna Ekström winning a Guldspade for the investigation Maktens chattar, award sources reported. P4 Jönköping's reporters Petra Levinson and Markus Engberg won a Guldspade in the category broadcast media local for their investigation of the case Mohamed, as per award organizers.
