Swedish goalkeeper Mathias Nilsson collapsed at his team's hotel in Spain on Saturday. According to reports, he fainted, fell, and hit his head, bleeding heavily and sustaining skin cracks. He was unconscious for a few seconds but regained consciousness quickly.
Nilsson was taken to a hospital, where a brain scan reportedly showed no issues. The rest of his team, Örgryte IS, is returning home, but Nilsson will remain in Spain for safety reasons. The incident occurred during a training camp.
