The bridge over Gryttjeån between Sörfors and Hassela will undergo work including replacing asphalt with wear-resistant concrete, removing the waterproofing layer and subdrainage, and replacing transition structures. Additional work involves blasting and painting steel beams under the bridge. The entire renovation is expected to be completed around the turn of August/September.
Traffic will be diverted via roads 769, 307, 305, 541, and 544, adding up to one hour of travel time. The bridge will be closed to all traffic, including pedestrians, cyclists, and moped riders. Emergency services from the south will not be affected, according to Trafikverket.
The closure is scheduled after the school term to minimize disruption to school transport. After reopening, temporary restrictions such as reduced speed or a single open lane may apply for a few weeks.
