Renman noted that hybrid attacks, such as cyber-attacks commissioned by an antagonist, are already occurring. He said the municipality continuously works on these issues, for example through information about shelters. Tony Uusitalo, deputy security protection manager, said the municipality systematically assesses threats, risks, and consequences to ensure a safe existence even during societal stresses.
He added that ultimately it is about protecting human rights and the municipality's obligations to citizens. It is not known which specific hybrid attacks have occurred or who the antagonist is. Details on current shelter information and supply robustness were not provided.
Participants include the Swedish Armed Forces, Coast Guard, Police, F21, voluntary defense associations, Social Services, Labor Market and Education Administration, Lumire, and LLT, according to the municipality. A military flyover will take place during the event. Renman said citizens can ask questions about what the municipality and defense agencies do and what individuals can do to strengthen societal preparedness.
