The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) and Vinnova have launched a national innovation program for civil defense. A first call for proposals within the program will open at the end of March, focusing on the design, use, and integration of future shelters and protected spaces in society. Preliminary information is already available on Vinnova's website, with the call opening for applications later in March.
The three-year program was initiated after the MSB received a government mandate to strengthen innovation capabilities in civil defense.
