According to media reports, Borussia Dortmund loaned Daniel Svensson from FC Nordsjälland in January 2025 and signed him until summer 2029. Svensson has established himself in Dortmund's starting eleven, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists in 40 competitive matches this season. He has been linked with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter, Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Leeds, and Juventus.
Bild reports that Dortmund wants to reward Svensson with a new contract due to high interest. Svensson currently earns €3 million per season, among the lowest-paid starters, and Dortmund reportedly demands at least €30 million to sell him. According to Fotbollskanalen, Svensson described his season as good overall, saying he has played a lot and continues to develop.
He said he really enjoys Dortmund and feels he has more to accomplish there, adding that he has not heard about Real Madrid's reported interest. Svensson was benched for Sweden against Ukraine in the playoff semifinal and does not know his chances of starting against Poland in the World Cup qualifier final, according to Fotbollskanalen.
