  • Organizers tried an alternative route but found it unfeasible after track inspections.
  • The event last occurred in 2024 with a record of about 600 participants, but had fewer registrations this year to minimize financial losses.

The classic ski race 7-mila between Vindeln and Robertsfors in Sweden has been canceled due to a lack of snow. This is the second year in a row the event has been canceled. Organizers had attempted to offer an alternative loop around the village of Åkullsjön instead of the traditional route, but decided it was also impossible to proceed after inspecting the tracks.

The race last took place in 2024, setting a participation record with around 600 skiers. This year, there were fewer registrations, a deliberate choice by organizers to avoid significant losses from refunding entry fees.
