Swedish stars choose English clubs for football

More and more Swedish national team stars are choosing clubs in England to play club football. Examples include Smilla Holmberg and Stina Blackstenius at Arsenal, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd and Nathalie Björn at Chelsea, and Hanna Wijk at Tottenham. Holmberg and Wijk state that they are there because the English league is the best, with Holmberg calling it a dream to play in the world's best league and Wijk noting that every weekend features a top match.

Both players are currently with the national team, which has a World Cup qualifier away against Serbia on Saturday, broadcast by SVT starting at 15:50.
