A Swedish aid organization based in Norrtälje has reportedly sent 108 vehicles to Ukraine since Russia's invasion began in 2022, according to a report from Swedish public broadcaster SVT Stockholm. Tobias and Linda Ahrnborg founded the association Norrtäljehjälpen in March 2022 when the war in Ukraine broke out. What began as a single trip to deliver aid has grown into an organization with multiple volunteers operating from a warehouse outside Norrtälje.

The group collects everything from medical supplies, axes, and sleeping bags to animal feed and old cars, all of which are packed and shipped to war-torn Ukraine. According to the report, the organization has made 44 trips to Ukraine so far. Linda Ahrnborg explained that needs in Ukraine constantly change, with medical supplies and crutches always in high demand.

The need is so great that we can't stop. We'll continue until the war is over,

Tobias Ahrnborg, Co-founder of Norrtäljehjälpen

Recently, contacts in Ukraine have requested fishing nets, which are reportedly used to capture drones and can be converted into camouflage nets. Tobias Ahrnborg stated that he tracks every vehicle donated and sees that the aid is reaching those in need. 'The need is so great that we can't stop.

We'll continue until the war is over,' he told SVT Stockholm.
