A 17-year-old Swedish girl has confessed in a Danish court to traveling to Denmark two years ago with the intention of killing a man. The incident occurred in Herning, Denmark, when the girl was 15 years old. According to court testimony reported by Swedish media, the girl traveled to Denmark in May 2024 with her then 14-year-old best friend after accepting a murder contract on the encrypted messaging platform Signal.

The girls were reportedly equipped with a weapon and went to the man's home with the intention of killing him. However, the man did not open the door when they knocked, causing the murder attempt to fail. During the ongoing trial in Jylland, the prosecutor asked what would have happened if the man had opened the door.

He would definitely have been dead. But I'm glad he wasn't home.
