According to Swedish public broadcaster SVT Värmland, 20-year-old Tawan Dusadee from Storfors has been deported from Sweden to Thailand despite having family in Sweden and employment at a restaurant in Kristinehamn. The deportation reportedly occurred last week, following protests in Karlstad against such deportations that involved local opposition politicians.

Tawan now lives in a cramped apartment in Bangkok with relatives, sharing a room with his severely ill grandmother who reportedly cannot speak or move. "My mother cries all the time. I don't want to leave my family," Tawan told SVT.

The case is part of a series of deportations in the Värmland region that have drawn public attention and demonstrations. SVT has previously reported on similar cases, including that of 19-year-old Ece Akkus from Karlstad who was scheduled for deportation to Turkey.

Despite community protests at Soltorget in Karlstad and political engagement from local opposition figures, the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket) proceeded with Tawan's deportation to Thailand.
