Swedish cross-country skier Anton Persson has announced his retirement, following the folding of his team, Team Ramudden. Persson, 31, made the announcement on Instagram, reportedly stating that his career is ending as the team is being disbanded after the season. He represented Sweden at the 2021 World Championships and the 2022 Olympics, and won the Swedish national championship in sprint in 2021.

In 2024, he reportedly shifted his focus to long-distance skiing in the Ski Classics series. Persson recently finished 22nd in the Birkebeinerrennet race in Norway.
