Alice Teodorescu Måwe, a Swedish Christian Democrat member of the European Parliament, has disclosed receiving anonymous financial support for her personal security arrangements but refuses to identify the donor. According to a report in Svenska Dagbladet, Teodorescu Måwe stated in an interview with Dagens Nyheter that she will not provide further details about the funding source, citing security concerns. The controversy emerged after the newspaper Flamman reported last week that Teodorescu Måwe had declared 'ongoing financial support from a private donor related to her personal security arrangements' in her latest interest declaration to the European Parliament.
All EU parliament members are required to submit such declarations.
Since it concerns my security, I will not go into further detail about it.
