The Svea Court of Appeal began the main hearing in the case in November 2025, and the main part has now been conducted. At a separate session, the court reviewed video recordings from over 150 interrogations presented in the district court, and some new witness interrogations have been held in the Svea Court of Appeal. The main hearing will conclude with closing arguments during weeks 18 and 19, with prosecutors set to hold their arguments on April 29 and 30, 2026. The evidence from the interrogations and the status of the witness interrogations have not been made public.
There is a limited number of spectator seats in the courtroom, primarily intended for journalists. Media representatives who wish to attend are asked to register by email to svea.avd6@dom.se with a copy of press credentials by April 24, 2026 at the latest. Seats will be allocated so that each editorial office is primarily offered one seat each, and if any editorial office wants to participate with more than one person, it will only be possible subject to availability. Upon arrival at the Svea Court of Appeal, press credentials must be presented, and all spectators are asked to be in place well before the hearing starts at 09:00.
Spectators engaged in reporting for news dissemination may, as a starting point, use the electronic equipment required for reporting, such as mobile phones, tablets, or computers. This also applies to other equipment for audio recording, but the equipment may not be used for image recording or photography. For other visitors, all electronic equipment in the courtroom must be turned off and stowed away, and image recording or photography is not permitted in or into the courtroom during the hearing.
