Sundsvall municipality has decided to reduce the height of a planned high-rise building in the Norrliden area, according to local reports. The building, which had been described as a new landmark for Sundsvall, will now be shorter than originally planned. Olof Lindstrand, planning chief for the municipality, stated that the decision came after considering public feedback.

"We have taken into account the comments that have come in," Lindstrand said. The property development company Diös had initially presented plans for the Norrliden area in summer 2024. The latest proposal includes adjustments to the building's design, with both the main high-rise and another planned building on Baldersvägen being made lower.
