A foster father in Sundsvall, Sweden, has confessed to making two sex purchases last autumn, according to a report from SVT Västernorrland. The man, who has been entrusted with caring for foster children through Sundsvalls kommun for several years, expressed deep remorse for his actions. 'I feel terrible, I feel very bad about myself.

Right now I'm at rock bottom,' the man told SVT. The sex purchases occurred just nine days apart and were part of a larger prostitution ring investigation in Ångermanland. The man, previously without a criminal record, confessed to the sex purchases without hesitation.

He has reportedly sought help through KAST, a treatment center for buyers of sexual services, and through psychiatric care. Eva Leijon, operations manager for social services in Sundsvall, stated that the municipality will immediately investigate the situation. 'When we become aware of something like this, we need to follow up immediately.

We need to know if we have children in this home, what the care situation looks like, and so on. The children's safety and security are always our top priority,' Leijon said. The man told police during interrogation that he didn't realize until afterward that he was likely chatting with the man now suspected of pimping rather than with the woman herself before the sex meetings.
