Two students are living in tents year-round at a folk high school in Sjövik, Sweden. Olof Gross, who previously lived in Gothenburg for many years, is in his second year of full-time tent living while studying outdoor life. Ida Gabrielsson from Kungälv is in her first winter in a tent, having chosen this option after hearing about the culture of tent living at the school.
During a visit by SVT, the temperature was minus 15 degrees Celsius. Olof Gross stated that living in a tent is not as demanding as people think, as he is not there much during the day and keeps a fire going in winter. After Storm Johannes, his tent was destroyed, and he temporarily slept in a snow cave, but a new tent is now in place.

Ida Gabrielsson explained that she had no CSN during her first months after being accepted and decided to try tent living as a cheap solution. Olof Gross said he moved from the city to rely on himself and does not miss his previous life.
he never wants to return to city life
