Region Gävleborg has announced the selection of a contractor for Hus 23, described as the largest investment to date at Hudiksvall Hospital. According to the regional government announcement, the project represents a central part of the 'Framtidsbygget' initiative, a long-term investment in modern and sustainable healthcare environments in Gävle and Hudiksvall.
The new nine-story healthcare building will cover approximately 23,500 square meters and replace several older hospital buildings. It will consolidate multiple healthcare services including pediatric and youth healthcare, women's healthcare, surgery, orthopedics, and care departments. The facility will also feature a new main entrance, a health plaza, and improved spaces for technology, logistics, and staff.
Hus 23 is an important investment for Hudiksvall Hospital. Now the project is entering a more concrete phase where we step by step shape premises that will function for healthcare for a long time to come.
