Motorists traveling on E22 south of Ringarum should prepare for significant traffic disruptions as the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) begins extensive rockfall safety work along the highway. According to reports from local newspapers, the project aims to secure several rockfall-prone cliff sections along the stretch between Ringarum and the county border with Kalmar. ' The safety measures will be implemented at approximately ten locations where cliff sides have been assessed as particularly vulnerable.
The extensive work is scheduled to begin in week 15 and is expected to be completed by week 28. Authorities warn that drivers should anticipate disturbances throughout the construction period as crews work to improve road safety along this critical transportation corridor.
We tear down what is loose and reinforce it again.
