The Jämtland Härjedalen Kennel Club held the 'Republic's Dog' competition at Furuparken in Östersund on Saturday. Around 60 dogs competed in three classes. The top prize, 'Republic's Dog', was awarded to the standard poodle Arockmove My Precious Wave from Frösön, whose everyday name is 'Våga'.

The 'Republic's Puppy' class was won by an American cocker spaniel from Rätan, and the 'Republic's Veteran' class was won by a boxer from Brunflo. Judge Jari Partanen evaluated the dogs based on harmony, behavior on the day, health, and breed-specific details.
