Stefon Diggs pleads not guilty to assault charges
Key Points
  • Jamila Adams testified that Diggs slapped and choked her during an argument.
  • Stefon Diggs pleaded not guilty to strangulation and assault charges.
  • Adams claimed a sexual relationship with Diggs before working as his chef.

"I would say it's complicated," Adams said of her relationship with Diggs, adding that it began as friends and turned sexual before she became his chef. She claimed she moved in with Diggs from July to December last year, earning $2,000 per week. The argument, she told police, was over money Diggs owed her and his accusation that she spread information about him sleeping with another female staff member.

Diggs also faces separate allegations from influencer Christopher Griffith involving drugging and unwanted sexual advances, which Diggs denies and is suing for defamation. Diggs and rapper Cardi B had a baby boy in November 2025 and later split.

The exact details of the December 2 altercation remain disputed. Diggs was released by the New England Patriots in March and is currently a free agent. Jury selection is expected to begin in the trial.
