Wilson joined AIK from Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks FC in the summer of 2024. He spent last autumn on loan at Enköpings SK in Ettan Norra, playing nine league matches. This season, he has started all four Swedish Cup fixtures and the first three Allsvenskan games, seizing the opportunity at left-back.
Recruitment chief Miika Takkula explained that Wilson was moved to left-back during training because the team has many midfielders. According to Fotbolltransfers, Takkula described being positively surprised by how quickly Wilson has developed, noting enormous progress since the team started up in Benidorm. Takkula believes there is still much room for improvement and that Wilson has the right mindset.
That's what I can say. I have put in a lot of physical work, a lot with the ball. Everything has improved. At least I am better than the one I was yesterday, or last year.
Wilson himself credited his improvement to hard work. According to Fotbolltransfers, he described putting in a lot of physical work and work with the ball, stating that everything has improved and that he is better than he was yesterday or last year.
