The school will be shut for the whole day and until further notice following a burst water main. According to a Glasgow City Council spokesperson, the burst water main has meant that the water tank is empty, which is a health and safety issue. The issue took place last night and came to light this morning once teachers began arriving at the school.
Further communication will follow over the weekend, according to a text sent to a Bellahouston Academy parent. The exact location or cause of the burst water main has not been disclosed. It is also unknown when the issue with the burst water main will be resolved.
The closure affects all students and staff at the school.
