According to multiple reports, Splatoon Raiders is a purely single-player adventure that involves exploring islands, gathering resources, and upgrading weapons. Deep Cut members from Splatoon 3 appear in the game and can accompany the player. There is no PvP mode, but local and co-op options are available. Nintendo stated: "Play as a mechanic working with Deep Cut, a trio of swashbuckling musicians, and venture out into the mysterious Spirhalite Islands!" The publisher added: "Customise your appearance, equip mechanical gadgets and ink-splattering weapons, and take on hordes of aggressive sea creatures called Salmonids in search of treasure." The game will be accompanied by new amiibo figures, though prices have not been confirmed.

Separately, insider NateTheHate has made several claims about upcoming Nintendo titles. He claimed Splatoon Raiders was on track for a summer release, and that a new Star Fox game is planned for summer 2025 with an announcement this month. He also claimed Rhythm Heaven Groove was confirmed for a July 2 launch, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is slated to launch this year, and Nintendo is planning a full remake of The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time for the second half of 2025. These claims have not been confirmed by Nintendo.
