In Norrköping, Sweden, participants at Friskis och Svettis followed the Vasaloppet cross-country ski race on a big screen while doing a spinning class. The tradition started in 2004 and returns every year, with participants cycling through a spinning session from the race's start to finish. About 40 people of mixed genders and ages took part, with some using the training to prepare for upcoming adventures.
Madelene Amberman, a participant, described it as hot, sweaty, tough, and fun. Evelina Kornebrant, who helps lead the spinning session, said it has been happening for over 20 years and is highly appreciated, involving blueberry soup, coffee breaks, and varied tempo. Christoffer Watson noted that while Vasaloppet isn't for him, this activity is fun because it involves doing something together with others and being active.
