A soldier employed at Livgardet military base in Kungsängen, north of Stockholm, has died during service, according to reports from Swedish media. The incident occurred on Sunday at the military facility. Police conducted a scene investigation and found no suspicion of crime or accident, according to Jenny Ringström, communications chief at Livgardet.
' Crisis management was immediately activated, and the soldier's closest relatives have received support from the regiment commander and regimental pastor. Crisis support is also being provided to colleagues. Livgardet will conduct an internal investigation into the incident.

On Monday, the regiment flew its flag at half-mast to honor the deceased soldier. Livgardet is one of Sweden's largest military units with approximately 2,800 employees, responsible for various duties including urban combat training, military police education, and guarding royal palaces.
