Researchers at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) have completed a project collecting data on moose movement around Junsele, Sweden. The project, which lasted several years, aimed to understand how climate change, seasonal variations, and human land use affect moose migration. Over 30 moose were equipped with GPS collars to track their movements year-round.
In February, the moose were located one last time, sedated, and the collars were removed. The next step involves compiling the information to learn about the lives of Junsele's moose, with a final report expected to be ready in the fall.
