Sky Sports extends F1 broadcasting deal through 2034
Key Points
  • Sky Sports extends exclusive F1 broadcasting deal for UK and Ireland through 2034
  • Deal announced via joint statement from Sky Sports and F1
  • Sky Sports F1 channel launched in 2012, coverage includes F2, F3, F1 Academy, Porsche Supercup

Sky launched the dedicated Sky Sports F1 channel in 2012 as part of their broadcasting rights acquisition. Every Grand Prix is broadcast on NowTV alongside Sky Sports, with live coverage extending to Formula 2, Formula 3, F1 Academy and the Porsche Supercup. The new agreement runs until 2034, while a separate Italian deal extends to 2032.

The Miami Grand Prix, the most recent race, saw Kimi Antonelli claim victory. The event was marked by high-profile crashes, poor weather, and a Martin Brundle grid walk. Pierre Gasly was flipped over during the race, and Max Verstappen lost control and spun out at turn two on the opening lap.

The next race on the calendar is the Canadian Grand Prix, taking place in Montreal between 22 and 24 May.
