Key Points
  • The Sky drama Prisoner stars Tahar Rahim as a prisoner and Izuka Hoyle as a transport officer who are handcuffed together.
  • The actors spent four months handcuffed during filming and performed stunts while attached.
  • The series will be released as a boxset on Thursday, April 30.

Tahar Rahim portrays Tibor Stone, a high-value prisoner and mafia informant who is also a trained assassin. Izuka Hoyle plays Amber Todd, a prison transport officer. In the plot, Todd handcuffs herself to Stone after their prison convoy is attacked.

According to Daily Express - Showbiz, Rahim described being handcuffed to Hoyle for four months of filming as potentially a nightmare but said they became real friends. The actors performed stunt sequences while handcuffed, major media reports say. Rahim told the publication that the stunt team was brilliant and collaborative, and they choreographed every movement like a dance.

Hoyle added that having the handcuffs on made them realise how close they would be, and they pushed each other to go faster and better. The exact year of the April 30 release has not been confirmed, and the full cast list remains undisclosed.
