Ornskoldsvik Hospital in Sweden has activated emergency staffing levels. According to the region, this is due to a large influx of patients. The hospital went into emergency staffing mode overnight into Sunday because of a strained care situation.
The region states that the hospital has staffed up personnel on several units and opened a number of observation spots at the emergency department. Currently, it is assessed that the care places are sufficient for the hospital's needs with the reinforcements made, but local crisis management in the north remains in emergency staffing mode. The region announces that it will provide new information during Monday morning.
