On Sunday, Sirius will play a semifinal match in the Swedish Cup against Hammarby at 3Arena. The match is reportedly a special meeting for Sirius player Oscar Krusnell, who previously played for Hammarby. Krusnell signed his first professional contract with Hammarby at age 18 but had limited playing time over three seasons, appearing in five competitive matches.
After leaving Stockholm, he played in Superettan and Division 1, as well as for Norwegian club Haugesund, before joining Sirius in the summer of 2025. Sirius was near the bottom of the table when he joined but finished the season in ninth place. Krusnell reportedly said he learned a lot from older players at Hammarby and is not surprised by Sirius's cup run, citing strong performances since his arrival.
