A single-vehicle accident on the E22 highway near Kristianstad on Saturday evening resulted in one person being transported to hospital. The incident occurred at the Vilan interchange in the direction toward Malmö, according to reports from SVT Skåne and Kristianstadsbladet. Emergency services were alerted to the accident at approximately 18:30 on March 28, 2026.
The injured person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and was reportedly conscious and able to speak at the time of transport, according to police information. Traffic on the E22 was being redirected following the accident, with the Swedish Transport Administration estimating disruptions would continue until 19:40. The cause of the single-vehicle accident remains under investigation.
