On May 1, the hospital in Kalmar, Sweden, will get a new hospital chief. Specialist doctor Sibylle Loo will take on the role, leaving her position as hospital chief at Västervik Hospital. Since 2022, she has been responsible for Västervik Hospital as its chief.
Previously, she worked as a specialist doctor in anesthesiology and intensive care and was head of the anesthesiology and intensive care clinic at Länssjukhuset in Kalmar. She is now returning to the hospital in Kalmar as the new chief. Loo said in a press release from Region Kalmar County that she looks forward to the assignment and sees the role as both exciting and challenging.

She succeeds Annkristin Svensbergh, who will continue working in the region with other assignments. Region Kalmar County also announced in its press release that recruitment for a new hospital chief for Västervik Hospital will begin immediately.
