Six people have been convicted for involvement in trying to extort 100,000 kronor from a man in Karlshamn. A total of seven people were charged in January. The district court chose to acquit one of those involved, but the other six were convicted.
Two people were convicted of extortion and sentenced to prison for one year and three months for attempted extortion. The others were convicted for various types of involvement in the extortion crimes, including aiding and attempted extortion. All were given conditional sentences with fines or community service.
One of the convicted was also sentenced to one year in prison for handling an explosive device that detonated near his home.
