SD opposes Pride flags on municipal poles in Trelleborg

The Pride festival returns to Trelleborg this summer, but the Sweden Democrats want to stop pride flags from flying on municipal flagpoles. Mathias Andersson (SD), chair of the municipal board, says the municipality should remain neutral. During the last festival in 2017, pride flags were flown on municipal flagpoles.

The Liberals, however, believe the municipality should hoist the pride flag, stating Trelleborg should be a city for all, and have submitted an initiative in the municipal board to ensure this happens.
