School transport cancelled for Swedish students
Key Points
  • School transport cancelled for Hultdalsskolan students in grades 7-9.
  • Residents in Loddby criticize the decision, citing dangerous road conditions.
  • Similar decision affects Västerkärr students, who will not get transport to Mullsjö but will to Habo.

According to multiple reports, school transport for students in grades 7-9 at Hultdalsskolan has been cancelled. Residents in Loddby are critical of the municipality's decision to remove school transport. Parents consider the road dangerous due to heavy industrial traffic and inadequate pedestrian crossings.

According to Norrköpings Tidningar, resident Max Ortiz Farge described the decision as completely insane and incomprehensible, given the road conditions. The decision to terminate the agreement granting students from Västerkärr the right to school transport to Mullsjö was made at the end of last year. Students from Västerkärr will not receive school transport to Mullsjö, but they will receive it if they attend school in Habo.

It's completely insane.

Max Ortiz Farge, Resident of Loddby

The exact reason given by the municipality for cancelling the school transport has not been disclosed. The number of students affected in Loddby and Västerkärr remains unknown, as do any alternative transportation arrangements.

That they even came to the conclusion that the road would be safer is completely incomprehensible to us. It's completely insane.

Max Ortiz Farge, Resident of Loddby
