According to the Sameting, Lávgu AS received 125,000 kroner to produce a 10-12 episode Coastal Sámi podcast. Maren Benedicte Nystad Storslett, a Sami Parliament Council member, said that Sámi language, culture and history in coastal areas have been strongly Norwegianized and much has been lost, and that both the podcast and the week will help make visible and elevate Coastal Sámi culture and language. The other three projects receiving funding have not been specified.

Separately, Tromsø municipality and the rental company Ryde have agreed on a ban on e-scooters in central Tromsø on the national day between 07:00 and 18:00. The exact date of the national day and enforcement details have not been disclosed.
