An external investigation by WSP has identified the extent of problems at Lärkans familjebad pool in Sala, Sweden. The investigation points to several measures required for the pool to be usable for the next ten years. Acute repairs costing five million kronor will be carried out.
A political decision on the future of the pool will be made later this spring, according to the municipal board chair Amanda Lindblad. The pool has had repeated problems with damage, and awareness exists that its lifespan is nearing its end.
