At least seven people were killed and eight others injured in a Russian attack on a market in the city of Druzhkivka in Ukraine's Donetsk region, according to regional governor Vadym Filasjkin. The governor reported on Telegram that Russian forces shelled the city with cluster ammunition, hitting the market directly during morning hours when large crowds are typically present. "The Russians shelled the city with cluster ammunition and hit the market directly, where there are always large crowds in the morning," Filasjkin wrote.
In a separate incident, a 68-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were reportedly killed in a nighttime Russian drone attack on an area east of Dnipro in the Dnipropetrovsk region, according to local authorities. Two additional people were injured in that attack, which also damaged residential buildings, a power line, and an administrative building.
