A Russian drone has crashed in southeastern Latvia, according to the Latvian defense ministry. The Latvian Air Force identified a foreign unmanned aircraft that entered Latvian airspace from Russia. Warning systems in the Kraslava municipality registered an explosion-like sound, leading soldiers, police, and border guards to the site where wreckage from the crashed drone was found.
The crash reportedly caused no injuries or damage to civilian infrastructure. No further threats to civilian safety or Latvian airspace have been identified.
