Ryder Cup 2027 ticket prices hit record high

Key Points
  • Daily general admission tickets for 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor cost €499 (£434), a record for European editions.
  • Price is more than double the 2023 price and 400% higher than 2018, but lower than 2025 Bethpage Black.
  • Over half a million people have registered interest; first tickets go on sale Friday to Irish residents.

The price for the three tournament days at Adare Manor is more than double the €260 (£225) charged for the 2023 event at Marco Simone in Italy, and represents a 400% rise on the 2018 edition in Paris, according to multiple reports. However, the 2027 ticket is cheaper than the $750 (£555) charged at Bethpage Black in the United States in 2025. Practice day tickets start at €89, with junior tickets available for €20.

Richard Atkinson, the chief Ryder Cup officer for the European Tour Group, acknowledged the increase but defended the pricing. "We acknowledge it's an increase from Rome, that was four years ago, and a lot has happened in the world since then," he said at a press conference. "We are lower than Bethpage. We've tried to make this as accessible as possible to a wide demographic of people. Our practice day tickets will be from 89 euros and juniors from 20 euros. Our prices are proportionate to a global sporting event. This event has grown in stature and profile; it's one of the biggest sporting events in the world. We're confident in our pricing, but we've made it accessible to everyone."

Atkinson also highlighted the fan experience, noting that over 20,000 grandstand seats will be available at Adare Manor, a record for a European Ryder Cup, and that big screens will be installed on every hole. "We have significant focus on the fan experience on site and from the moment the people arrive at 6.30 in the morning. They'll be entertained not only by 24 of the best golfers in the world, but also outside of the ropes, we'll have an extensive entertainment programme to keep the fans engaged," he said.

Demand for tickets is high, with over half a million people having registered interest, according to Atkinson. "We've already had over half a million people register their interest for tickets, so that tells you how significant the demand is. This is likely to be one of the largest we've ever delivered and one of the largest events to come to the island of Ireland, so we couldn't be more excited," he said. The first batch of tickets goes on sale Friday, exclusively to residents of the island of Ireland.

In other Ryder Cup news, Luke Donald will captain Europe again in 2027, while the United States have not yet confirmed their captain. Tiger Woods withdrew himself from consideration for the US captaincy. The ticket prices drew criticism from Justin Rose's caddie, Mark Fulcher, who called them "extortionately high" on social media, according to multiple reports.
