A Russian drone attack on the town of Bohodukhiv in Ukraine's Kharkiv region killed a father and his three young children overnight, according to regional officials. The strike completely destroyed a residential home and trapped the family under rubble.
The 34-year-old father and his three children - twin boys aged two and their one-year-old sister - were killed in the attack. Their mother, who is 35 weeks pregnant, was seriously wounded and pulled alive from the wreckage by rescue workers. She sustained blast injuries, traumatic brain injury, burns, and hearing loss, according to the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.

The drone was identified as a Geran-2, a Russian-made version of an Iranian Shahed drone. Bohodukhiv, located about 22 kilometers from the Russian border, had a pre-war population of 15,000.
Kharkiv Governor Oleh Synehubov reported the attack, stating that four people including three children were killed when a residential house was destroyed in the drone strike. Bohodukhiv mayor Volodymyr Bielyi announced three days of mourning, during which national flags will be lowered and all entertainment events cancelled.
