A sale of Ronneby's fiber network may be considered, as the board of the owner company Miljöteknik has received an offer for the network. How much money the company Nordity Fiber is offering is secret. After the article was published, Jan-Eric Wildros (S) received directives to not say anything at all about the offer or a potential purchase. Several parties in Ronneby are critical of a potential sale, including the Christian Democrats.
A petition has been started to submit a citizen proposal for the municipality not to sell the fiber network. SVT has also sought the chairman of the municipal board Ola Robertsson (S), but he currently does not want to comment on the criticism or the plans for a sale.
